BRAKE DISC ROTORS - TYPES
Replacement Brake Disc Rotors
We pride ourselves on selling high quality replacement brake disc rotors. When you purchase a Znoelli branded brake disc you receive a quality product that results from our extensive brake industry knowledge and quality control. As a company we simply won't sell you anything that we wouldn't put on our own cars. Znoelli provides aftermarket replacement disc rotors for an extremely wide range of vehicles.
.01 Replacement Brake Discs
Znoelli ".01s" (pronounced dot 01) are high quality OE replacement brake discs. They are thoroughly checked and quality controlled to ensure that the defects commonly found in cheaper products are not present in any Znoelli Disc. Our quality leads to reduced wear rates and extended brake service intervals. All Znoelli .01 discs are clearly marked with the Znoelli brand, their part number and their minimum thickness so you always know when it's a Znoelli Brake Disc
Cheap brake discs have saturated the market place over the last 5-10 years, but don't be fooled by the price, because as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for". Brake discs are safety critical components and so we think it's far safer to know that we've checked each and every Znoelli disc as though it was going onto our own car. We think it's far safer to have that peace of mind.
S6 Sports Brake Discs
These are directionally slotted (grooved) to provide benefits such as:
- reduced brake fade through pad de-gassing,
- increased wet performance through the dissipation of water, mud & dirt,
- improved pedal feel through increased pad bite,
- improved rotor life through pad deglazing and of course
- they look more purposeful behind alloy wheels.
DDS Sports Brake Discs
These are directionally slotted (grooved) to provide benefits such as:
- reduced brake fade through pad de-gassing,
- increased wet performance through the dissipation of water, mud & dirt,
- improved pedal feel through increased pad bite,
- improved rotor life through pad deglazing and of course
- they look more purposeful behind alloy wheels.
In addition to the above the wide slot design draws cool air across the face of the pad allowing cooler running and the dimple drilled areas further break down gases without the risk of rotor cracking that can sometimes be associated with fully cross drilled discs.
S12 Sports Brake Discs
These are directionally slotted (grooved) to provide benefits such as:
- reduced brake fade through pad de-gassing,
- increased wet performance through the dissipation of water, mud & dirt,
- increased surface area improving system cooling - improved pedal feel through increased friction and pad bite,
- improved rotor life through pad deglazing and of course
- they look more purposeful behind alloy wheels.
Enduromax Heat Treatment
These discs are "Enduromax" Heat Treated. This is an extensive heat treatment process that improves the discs resistance to cracking and distortion. The Enduromax treatment process improves the disc microstructure to create a more uniform hardness throughout the disc which results in reduced wear rates.
TTP (Thermographic Temperature Paint)
These discs have "TTP" (thermographic temperature paint) installed. This is a special heat sensitive paint that indicates disc rotor core temperatures.
TTP helps with:
- the "bedding in" process of brake discs on closed circuit tracks - the monitoring of brake disc maximum temperatures - providing system data that can aid tuning and trouble shooting.
S12 Z-Spec 2 Piece Sports Brake Discs
These are directionally slotted (grooved) to provide benefits such as:
- reduced brake fade through pad de-gassing,
- increased wet performance through the dissipation of water, mud & dirt,
- increased surface area improving system cooling - improved pedal feel through increased friction and pad bite,
- improved rotor life through pad deglazing and of course
- Enduromax Heat Treated (See above for definitions)
- TTP Thermographic Temperature Paint (See above for definitions)
- they look more purposeful behind alloy wheels.
2 Piece Design
S12 Z-Spec disc assemblies utilise a heavy duty disc casting which is combined with a light weight aluminium mounting bell. These discs, like all of our sports disc range, are still a direct replacement for the OE disc and require no system modifications, but that's where the similarity ends. Resistance to wear, cracking and distortion are all well above that of the original disc. Additional replacement disc rings and mounting hardware are available so that mounting bells can be inspected and re-used.
